Through interacting with our guests, we have found that the biggest vice of society is the stress caused by our fast-paced modern world.
Already in the beginning of our planning phase, it was clear to us that we didn’t want to create another classic hotel. Rather, we wanted to create a place where serenity, lightness, and joie de vivre live. We dreamt of a hotel full of books and good drinks – with beautiful flowers, firm massages, and great food – where you can practise yoga in the morning and enjoy a wine tasting in the evening. We imagined a place where, alongside moments of meditation and reflection, occasions for convivial encounters could alternate. There are many different ways to effectively manage stress with lasting effects, to look at everyday life with a clear mind, and to recognise the simple truth that, “The world belongs to those who enjoy it.” A quote we wish we made up ourselves, but didn’t, so thank you, Giacomo Leopardi. I wonder if it’s a coincidence that he was Italian.
Since everyone has different ways of relaxing, we have compiled the most established approaches for our Saltus Relaxation Programme. It includes daily yoga, meditation, qigong, forest bathing, and much more. In addition, there is also a great wine tasting. All elements of classic enjoyment are combined: nature, action, and pleasure.
